“How curious the light behaves when reflecting off the dancing waves”
I am not certain where I first heard this, but it certainly is true when talking about my glass wave jewelry. I have never taken two pictures of one of these pieces and had the color be the same. When you are out in the sunlight these waves will be continue changing shades of blue. May this beautiful wave pendant always remind you of those wonderful days you spent at the beach.
I hope you share my emotion for the ocean.

Glass Waves: About Lost Wax Glass Casting
Four thousand years ago the early Egyptians were creating both Jewelry and other objects of art by casting glass. It is an art form that seems to resurface every hundred years or so, most recently in the art nouveau era of 1920’s.
I have always had an interest mixing other mediums with my precious metals. In 2005, I started gathering bits and pieces of information about the art of casting glass into jewelry using the lost wax method. It seemed very similar to what I was doing when creating my gold designs. However, as is so often the case in life, things are never as simple as they first appear. The art of casting glass proved far more elusive and demanding than the casting of precious metals. There are dozens of extra steps needed, and they must be followed in a precise order to achieve an end product that is not only beautiful but also durable. I have combined some of the newest technology from the modern industry with techniques thousands of years old in the process of creating my latest designs. I do hope you will enjoy the fruits of my labor as much as I have enjoyed the challenges in bringing them to you.
Properly cast art-glass is a quite hard, however like a fine Opal or Emerald it tends to be brittle and should be treated with care. It requires no more care in cleaning than any fine gems stone. Now that I have mastered the basic of this wonderful art form it is my plan to be introducing new designs on a regular basis. Dealing with all these wonderful colors, the creative part of my mind has been working overtime envisioning new designs.
