I do want to point out that in the photograph this piece appears to be somewhat flat across the bird's back. In fact, there is a beautiful curve that flows from one wing across the back and onto the other wing. The delicate satin finish I use for contrast here doesn't photograph well. At 34-mm from the top to bottom, this is a significant piece of jewelry without being overpowering.
